My hoomins and their pets

Mom can't seem to get enough of the cats. I love them too - well curious is more like it. I like to watch them play, eat, drink, clean themselves, I like to smell them too occassionally. Fudgie used to be a darling, he loved me too and hung around me all the time, we made a great pair. He crossed over to Sugar Candy Mountain. Now there's this other kitty called Kismat. I don't know what to think of her. I tried to be friendly but she only hisses. She even ate up couple of her own babies. Fudgie once killed some other cat's babies and mom was quite upset, I didnt know what all the fuss was about.

Mom dad and sissy are crazy about Kismat. They dote her. I tried telling them she was only a regular kitten and leave her be. When they didnt listen to me, I thought I had to get their attention, and let that pesky cat know that this was my house. I didn't like it whenever I go to the kitchen , everything smells of her. She rubs herself on every thing in there. It is very irritating. Besides, after the infiltration of cats in my house, the kitchen and the back yard were forbidden places for me.

Finally when I could take it no more, I started peeing in the kitchen, Mom got very upset but she ought to get the message. I didnt like it when mom and dad left me alone in the house and went out, so I started peeing on the couch as well.

I am not proud of my behaviour, I have been a very naughty puppy no doubt. They don't understand what I speak, whats a wee little puppy to do?

Then come the crows. I once managed to catch one, mom got upset. Really that woman is a ticking time bomb you never know what sets her off. She loves me more than she loves her hoomin daughter no doubt, the crow came into the kitchen and i caught it for her. She didnt yell at me or anything , she made me spit out the crow and carried me into the next room. she is a real softie when it comes to furries.

Dad is another furry fanatic. He talks to every dog on the street. I bark at them. When ever mom asks where's bow wow, I run out to see if there are any dogs outside. Sissy says I am a bow wow too, I dont believe her, she is probably just jealous that mom and dad love me more than her.

But sissy is my favouritest person in the whole world. I love to kiss her all the time. I behave like a very good boy when she is around and follow her like a shadow.

Then there are houseflies, I detest them, they make this weird buzzing near me and it irritates my wee pink ears. I try and hide. The other thing I detest next to flies is a bath. I love the rains but I hate the bath.

This in short is my world as of today. Will update you when something changes.

The lil girl downstairs

We got new tenants downstairs. The guy has a shop that sells car accessories. He has a wife and an amazingly cute daughter. The lil girl and I took an instant liking towards each other the very first time I saw her. And she is so much fun. She wants to play with me but when I go near her, she climbs on top of any human around - just like a little monkey. Now I have never seen monkeys but that is what sissy says.
I keep hearing her cry downstairs, "Dolee Dolee". I like the way she says that you know. And her mother comes at times too. She is a sweet woman. She pets me and keeps telling mommy how cute I look tee hee.
So the other day granma and Aunty had come to visit us and aunty got this little girl upstairs and fondled her and played with her and took pictures of her. The girl too liked aunty very much and started coming up more often. She'd sit by the door step or peep through the window and call out my name, 'Dolee Dolee". And I go crazy with excitement because I know just what is coming. Mommy would open the door and she'll climb on mommy's shoulder like a monkey and I'll try to grab her leg. Its like that game where your human suspends a ball by a string and you try to catch it. Boy!!
Oh there she is again, banging on the front door yipeee. "Dolee Doleee", mom open the door woof woof woof....whine whine whine, MOM OPEN THE DOOR !!

The little rascals

Sissy fussing over Tinda
Lots of things happening around here. Tinda, mommy's and daddy's favoritest kitty has been missing from quite sometime now. I'll tell you about Tinda and her gang of kitties-the little rascals sissy and I would like to call them. Their cat mummy used to frequent our house and I hated the sight of her as she used to hiss at me and smack me across the face and all that. Then she had kittens and daddy got them all in a sieve. My I had never seen anything tinier except for the rat in the shoe rack.
The big cat with the kittens

The little rascals sun bathing
One day I heard a lots of mews outside the kitchen door. The big cat had got the very very tiny kittens with her and they were all mewing outside the door. Mummy was very excited and she gave them all lots of milk much to my displeasure. I told her not to, but she wouldn't listen to me. The cat and her babies came home every morning and night. The mews were pretty annoying I must say. By and by the cat left the kittens and went to find greener pastures. The kitties lingered on mewing day and night. I wanted to have a closer look at them but mom was scared if I might eat them up, the way I did to the crow hee hee.
There was this tiniest of the kittens - mom named her Tinda because the kitty's face looked like a Tinda ! My my! She was the most charming of al the kittens and no matter how big the other kittens grew, this one remained dwarfed. And mom fussed over her all the more because of that.
The second mom would try opening the kitchen door, they'd all tumble inside. Sometimes they sat on the window sill and watched mummy cooking or tease me from there since they knew i couldn't climb that high grrrr !
All of a sudden, couple of weeks ago, Tinda goes missing. She hasn't come back to this day. One of the other kittens got adopted sometime ago (we think). Mom was and I guess is still pretty worried about Tinda. She keeps calling sissy and telling her that she just wants to see Tinda once to know that she is hale and hearty. Whatever !
Pssst... one of the other kittens is pregnant now. So that means more annoying mews to come shortly grrrrr

How do I climb the window now !!
oh and the other day, one of the kittens sneaked in to the kitchen and I chased him up the shoe rack. He hissed and snarled at me and I barked my head off and then mommy had to come and carry me away to another room while this fella escaped. i think he was the same guy who was sitting on the window sill the other day, didn't realise the window was open and fell onto the work area HA HA HA too bad i missed it.

When mommy first carried me

Mommy used to have a phobia for dogs. She once almost squished my older brother between the door when he was a puppy. It was daddy who got me home. Mommy always was scared to even look at me, I guess some people are that ways. When I used to try pouncing on mummy to play with her, she used to scream with fear and that only got me more excited. I used to try snuggling next to her feet or climb on her and she used to shoo me away.
I loved playing on the terrace and mom was also scared if some big bird might carry me away. She did love me even though she was scared. Once I went to the terrace without her and got underneath a few dirty boxes. She looked for me everywhere and couldn't find me. She got very worried and thought some bird had definitely carried me away - I was very tiny you see. To add to her fears, it started raining as well. Then she heard me whimper from behind the boxes. She called out to me, but I didn't know how to get out. She then bent and picked me up like I was a dangerous thing waiting to eat her, and she took me inside. I wagged my tail and thanked her with my eyes. That was when she realized how cute I was. She picked me up, gave me a bath and never let me down after that.
And now, she can't sleep unless she cuddles me. I have to be around her at all times else she panicks and then she hugs me and kisses me and feeds me yummy food and plays with me and calls me sweet names. Life turned even more happier for me.
Mommy n me happily ever after
That is puppy power !

My poem to everyone I love

If I go to sugar candy mountain,
Would you go with me?
I'll wait for you by the fountain,
Beneath the cherry tree.

I'll send my guardian angel to you
To take care of you for me
And to protect you from all dangers
That you may fail to see !

I'll strew your path with buttercups
And tulips and lilies
And treat you to dollops
Of sweet smelling treaties.

And when I set my eyes on you,
I'll yelp and lick and whine.
I'll bounce and wag my tail too
From one to a zillion time!

And i'll lead you by the paw
To explore the enchanted land
I'll show you things you never saw
And play with you in the golden sand !

And when you grow tired my love
I'll cuddle you close to me
With angels watching us from above
Happy forever we'll be !

My other trips

I had two more trips. Both by trains.
The first one, I was not allowed to travel with my mommy n daddy since I was a big boy. So they put me in a doggy carriage. My god, it was so scary. I thought my parents had forsaken me. I was put in a cage and there was this big dark man to watch over me. He was sweet I must admit. He kept giving me treats but I kept barking the entire night. Horrible I must say. It was very very very scary. The train kept shaking and it was dark and dingy. I wanted to jump out. Finally I saw dad peering at me and he got me off. i was still scared. I just wanted to go back home. Couple of days later I did go back home, but it was again in that scary box and I hated it.
The next time we travelled, dad booked us a coupe on the train. So I was with the both of them, but it was still very scary. The noise that the train made and the way it shook beneath my paws. Poor daddy didn't have a wink of sleep all night, he kept cuddling me. We reached this place and my human sister was there to receive me. They put me in a car, I sat on my sister's lap and kept peering out of the window. That was a little comforting, but I needed to know where was I being taken and I kept feeling insecure if my parents would leave me some place. I knew they wouldn't but hey I am a puppy and I have my fears. So then we reached this big building, my sister's apartment, the minute they let me out of the car, I could smell other dogs. There was a place in the lawn for doggies to poop. Dad took me there for a walk and I pooped. We went into the house, it was no where like my house. It was small and the windows were all very high.I sat under the chair or the bed all day and slept under the bed all night. I was scared to sleep as well, I kept opening my eyes to see if my parents were still around. I lost my apetite and my humans had to force feed me. And very often they used to leave me alone in the house and go out. They came back soon though. They were sweet enough to leave the balcony door open for me so I could look out. They took me for walks so very often, I simply loved walks. There were so many things to sniff around, so many children running around so I could bark at them. But appetite was no where to be seen.
Again I was loaded into the coupe with my parents, I could smell myself there, it was the same old coupe I ha travelled in earlier so I felt a little comfortable. But still I was dying to go home. After a very looooong journey I finally reached home. Phew ! A dog's life !

The time I caught that crow !

I love watching crows and chasing them. But they've always been too quick for me. They flap their wings and fly away. They've always been creatures of awe and surprises to me. Once a crow came into our kitchen and mommy called out to me. "Dolu Dolu", she screamed. I ran to my damsel in distress. I saw the crow flapping its wings and flying away through the window. "Wait till I get you", I thought to myself.
Couple of days later, mommy and I were watching TV when I heard a little noise in the kitchen. I slowly looked in the direction of the noise and guess who was searching for crummies on the kitchen floor? The crow. I ran quick as lightning and before the both of us knew it, the crow was in my mouth. I was surprised and pleased with my achievement. I shook my head from side to side in pride. Mommy came screaming at me. She held my neck and said "Droppit droppit droppit". I didn't droppit. She gave me a little whack and when I opened my mouth to tell her to go away, the crow dropped limp. Mommy carried me and ran out of the kitchen closing the door behind her. I just couldn't understand what she wanted. Just two days ago she screamed out to me to come and rescue her and today when I had caught the villain she wanted me to let go of him . Crazy woman. Women are by far crazy I tell you. They never know what they want.
After some time she slowly went into the kitchen to see that the crow had painfully dragged itself out and was lying there unable to move anymore. Dad came in the evening and gingerly put the crow outside.
A little later we heard more noises and went out to see. The crow was lying on the roof - still unable to move and a cat was sneaking up to the crow. Mommy threw water on the cat and the mean old cat slunk away disappointed. Mom left the lights on the whole night and dad kept going and checking on the crow giving me angry looks everytime. Mom kept saying "Imagine what could've happened had I not caught him on time. There'd be bloodshed everywhere in my kitchen".I felt very uncomfortable. I shifted uneasily in my corner and gave them side gazes. Then I sat near their legs and gave them sorry looks and even asked for tummy rubs. Mom can never resist my soft under. Nor can dad. They came to terms with me soon enough.
The next morning the crow was nowhere to be seen. But mom was scared to leave me in the kitchen and go to work. So she left me open in the house while she closed the kitchen door. So I was free to roam around the house all I liked but no access to the kitchen or balcony or any open area. It was so boring.
A week later we saw the crow. It had broken a leg and couldn't keep that leg down and had lost a few feathers near its neck. Apart from that, it was fine. Mom gave me an accusing look again. I didn't bother this time, c'mon the crow is fine so let ME be !
That was my biggest goof up hee hee. But after that  I have only grown naughtier. Mom says I am like Benjamin Button. The older I grow the childisher and cuter I become. Hee hee !

Catch ya'll soon again !
